About me:

I earned my Ph.D. in February 2009 from the Department of Mathematical Analysis at Universidad Complutense de Madrid (UCM) with the highest distinction, «Sobresaliente suma cum laude,» accompanied by special honors: Doctorado Europeo and Premio Extraordinario de Doctorado (2008/2009). Following a 7-month postdoctoral position at the same department, I embarked on a one-year tenure as a visiting assistant professor at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (USA) in 2010. From June 2011 to March 2019, I held a «Juan de la Cierva» research position at the Instituto de Ciencias Matemáticas (ICMAT), followed by a Ramón y Cajal position at the Department of Mathematical Analysis (now the Department of Mathematical Analysis and Applied Mathematics) of UCM. Since March 2019, I have served as an Assistant Professor with the title of Profesor Titular.

MY RESEARCH INTERESTS:

My research focus has primarily centered around functional analysis and quantum information theory in recent years. The intersection of these two areas constitutes a key aspect of my work. Specifically, my research addresses the following subjects

– Quantum information theory: Bell inequalities and nonlocal games, Multipartite quantum entanglement, Quantum channel theory, quantum query complexity.

– Functional Analysis: Local theory of Banach spaces, Operator spaces and operator algebras, convex geometry.
