Schedule

The event will have four parts:

  • PRESENTATION OF PROBLEMS: By problem coordinators and companies’ representatives, on Monday, June 10.
  • WORKING IN GROUPS: Each group of students, coordinated by one or various experts, will work on a problem.
  • PRESENTATION OF RESULTS AND CONCLUSIONS: Each Working Group will deliver a report describing the results and conclusions reached, and all members of the group will make a public presentation on Friday, June 14 .
  • WRITTEN REPORTS: Each Working Group will write a report setting out the results and conclusions reached. Reports (pdf files) should be sent to Martín Avendaño (mavend01@ucm.es), deadline: July 1, 2024 at 23:59.

MONDAY 10-06-2024. Opening session (open to public) – Room INF-3.

  • 16:00 – 16:20. Introduction and opening of the XVIII Modelling Week, UCM
  • 16:20 – 16:40. Exposition of Problem 1 (Accenture).
  • 16:40 – 17:00. Exposition of Problem 2 (GMV).
  • 17:00 – 17:20. Exposition of Problem 3 (IGN).
  • 17:20 – 17:40. Exposition of Problem 4 (Grant Thornton).
  • 17:40 – 18:00. Exposition of Problem 5 (IBM).
  • 18:00 – 20:30. Groups start working.

TUESDAY 11-06-2024 TO THURSDAY 13-06-2024. Working in groups at the laboratories.

Working hours:

  • Tuesday 11-06-2024 and Thursday 13-06-2024: 9:00 – 14:00 and 16:00 – 20:30
  • Wednesday 12-06-2024: 16:00 – 20:30

FRIDAY 14-06-2024. Closing Session (open to public) – Room Miguel de Guzmán.

  • Morning. Groups prepare final reports and presentations.
  • 17:00 – 19:00. Each working group gives a public presentation describing main results.
  • 19:00. Closing the XVIII Modelling Week at the UCM.
