About me:
I obtained my PhD in February 2009 at the Department of Mathematical Analysis of Universidad Complutense de Madrid (UCM) with the (highest) grade: Sobresaliente “suma cum laude” and special distinctions: Doctorado Europeo and Premio Extraordinario de Doctorado (2008/2009). After a 7 months postdoc position at the same Department, I spent one year (2010) at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (USA) as visiting assistant professor. From June 2011 until March 2019 I enjoyed a “Juan de la Cierva” research position at Instituto de Ciencias Matemáticas (ICMAT) and, later on, a Ramón y Cajal position at the Department of Mathematical Analysis (now, Department of Mathematical Analysis and Applied Mathematics) of UCM. Since March 2019 I am Profesor Titular (Assistant Professor).
MY RESEARCH INTERESTS:
Functional analysis and quantum information theory have led my research during the last years. Indeed, the interconnections between these two areas is one of the main points in my research. In particular, my work deals with the following topics:
– Quantum information theory: Bell inequalities and nonlocal games, Multipartite quantum entanglement, Quantum channel theory, quantum query complexity
– Functional Analysis: Local theory of Banach spaces, Operator spaces and operator algebras, convex geometry.
